Article 1 · Purpose and scope
These terms of sale (the “Terms of Sale”) govern the purchase of the Compleo Premium subscription (“Premium”) in the Compleo web app, available at app.compleoapp.com. They supplement the terms of use, which apply to the whole Compleo service; for anything concerning a purchase made on the web, these Terms of Sale prevail.
They do not apply to subscriptions bought in the mobile app: those are sold by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and governed by their terms, described in the “Premium subscription” article of the terms of use.
By ticking the box provided and then confirming your payment, you accept these Terms of Sale.
Article 2 · Seller and publisher
Seller. Purchases made in the web app are sold and collected by Stripe, acting as merchant of record (Stripe “Managed Payments”). Stripe enters into the sales contract with you, collects the payment, calculates and collects the VAT applicable in your country, issues the receipt and processes refunds. Stripe’s purchase terms for buyers are shown to you in the payment form and apply in addition to these.
Publisher. The Compleo service (the website, the mobile app and the web app) is published by Julien Houyet, self-employed, trading as teradev Studio (full details in the legal notice). The publisher provides the Premium service, remains your contact for any question ([email protected]) and decides on the refunds that Stripe carries out.
Link, Stripe’s payment service. With Managed Payments, the seller you see is Link (Stripe): Link appears on the payment page, on the receipt and in the customer portal, and your purchase contract is entered into with Link. Compleo remains the provider of the Premium service and your contact for everything concerning the service.
Article 3 · Plans and prices
Premium is offered on the web in three forms:
- a monthly subscription, renewed every month;
- an annual subscription, renewed every year;
- a one-off purchase giving lifetime access, with no renewal.
As of this version, the prices are €5.99 per month, €49.99 per year and €149.99 for lifetime access. They are shown inclusive of all taxes (VAT included, at the rate of your country: the breakdown appears on the receipt) and in euros. The applicable price is the one shown in the web app at the time of purchase; it may be changed for the future, and any change is communicated to you before it applies to a renewal. No free trial is offered on the web.
What Premium includes (for example unlimited collection, full price history, card-by-card analysis, unlimited binders, threshold alerts) is presented in the web app at the time of purchase and on the Pricing page. A single Premium entitlement is attached to your account: it is recognised in the web app and in the mobile app.
Article 4 · Order and payment
A Compleo account is required. The order takes place in the web app: you choose a plan, you tick the box waiving the right of withdrawal (article 6), then you enter your payment method in the Stripe payment form displayed on the page (bank card and, depending on your device and country, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link). The summary shows the plan, the amount due today and the e-mail address the receipt is sent to.
Payment is charged when the order is confirmed. Premium is activated on your account immediately after Stripe confirms the payment (usually within seconds; if there is a wait, the web app tells you). The receipt is sent by Stripe to your account’s e-mail address; it is also available, with your invoices, in the “Manage my subscription” portal (Settings › My subscription).
If the payment is declined or abandoned, nothing is charged and no access is opened.
Article 6 · Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you normally have 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw from a distance purchase, without giving a reason.
Premium is digital content supplied without a tangible medium, whose supply begins immediately after payment. Under European Union law (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU) and Belgian law (Article VI.53, 13° of the Code of Economic Law), you lose your right of withdrawal when you expressly request that the supply begin before the end of the 14-day period and acknowledge that you lose that right.
That is what you do by ticking, before payment, the box “I request immediate access to Premium and waive my 14-day right of withdrawal, which ends as soon as access to this digital content begins.”. Payment is not possible without that box. Your waiver is recorded by the publisher (account, plan, date and time, version of these Terms of Sale, language, truncated IP address) and attached to the purchase at Stripe as evidence.
Article 7 · Refunds
Apart from the cases provided for by law, amounts paid are not refunded: a subscription period that has started remains due until its end and the purchase of lifetime access is final. The publisher may nevertheless grant a refund, in whole or in part, as a goodwill gesture or if the service was not provided (for example Premium that does not activate after a confirmed payment).
Any request is sent to the publisher at [email protected], from your account’s e-mail address, stating the date of purchase. Refunds granted by the publisher are carried out by Stripe, the merchant of record, to the payment method used for the purchase, within Stripe’s and your bank’s own timescales (usually 5 to 10 working days). A refund ends the corresponding Premium.
Request through Link. You may also send your refund request directly to Link (Stripe) support, from the receipt or the customer portal. Link then asks the publisher; if the publisher does not answer within 48 hours, Stripe may grant the refund without its agreement. A refund granted by Link ends the corresponding Premium in the same way.
Article 8 · VAT, receipts and invoices
As merchant of record, Stripe determines the applicable VAT from your country (inferred from your payment method and your address), collects it and remits it to the relevant authorities. Prices shown are inclusive of tax: the VAT share is itemised on the receipt. Receipts and invoices are issued by Stripe and available at any time in the “Manage my subscription” portal, where you can also update your payment method and billing details.
Bank statement. The charge appears under the label LINK.COM* followed by Compleo’s descriptor, not under Compleo’s name alone.
Article 9 · Subscriptions bought in the mobile app
A subscription bought in the App Store or on Google Play is recognised in the web app, but it remains sold by Apple or Google and is managed (changes, cancellation, refund) in the store where it was bought; the web app sends you there. While such a subscription is active, no web purchase is offered. These Terms of Sale do not apply to those purchases.
Article 10 · Warranties and liability
Premium is provided with the statutory conformity guarantees applicable to digital content and services. The service is provided “as available”; the card prices it shows are estimates (see the terms of use). To the extent permitted by law, the publisher’s liability for a web purchase is limited to the amount paid for the current period. Nothing in these terms limits the mandatory rights of consumers.
Article 11 · Personal data
The data processed for a web purchase (account identifier, plan, dates, withdrawal waiver, payment data processed by Stripe) is described in our Privacy policy. The publisher never receives your card number.
Article 12 · Changes to the Terms of Sale
These Terms of Sale may be changed to reflect legal, technical or service developments. The date of the version in force appears at the top of this page; the version accepted at your purchase is the one recorded with your waiver. Changes apply to a current subscription only on its renewal, after notice.
Article 13 · Governing law, mediation and disputes
These Terms of Sale are governed by Belgian law, without prejudice to the mandatory provisions of the consumer’s country of residence. In the event of a dispute, contact the publisher first ([email protected]). A consumer residing in Belgium may refer the matter to the Consumer Mediation Service (mediationconsommateur.be). Failing agreement, the courts of Brussels have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory rules applicable to consumers.
